The other day I was mean to a check-out chick. I was in a rush and she wasn’t as fast as I wanted her to be. Afterwards I wondered why God had bought that set of circumstances about, and I reckon it was to teach me about little decisions.

I have no problem saying I want my life to glorify God, but being mean to her wasn’t at all in line with that. It’s hard to make little decisions and actions line up with big life-direction stuff. I really appreciated Rory’s sermon on Sunday, especially the part that pointed out how little things add up to big things. Even Pythagoras – dead triangle expert – has something to say about this: ‘Choices are the hinges of destiny’.

The hard part is remembering the big picture when faced with mundane little decisions, especially when tempted to do the wrong thing…
